The Loopline Story
Situated in Opaki in New Zealand’s Wairarapa region Loopline Olives specialises in the highest quality, single variety Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO).
Loopline Olive’s varieties of EVOO win multiple national and international awards each year, including five gold medals at the New York International Olive Oil Competition as noted in the Offical Index of the World’s Best Olive Oils (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022).
Five olive varieties grow at Loopline, flourishing in the hot dry summer days and cool nights of our crisp winters. Oil is produced from four of the varieties
Picual, Picholene, Leccino and Frantoio. The fifth, Pendolino is a pollinator. Each variety is picked and pressed separately to celebrate the fruits individual qualities.
Like fine wine, each oil vintage reflects not only it’s Spanish, French or Italian heritage, but also the weather pattern of the growing season.

Loopline’s owner Stephen Davies Howard studied in San Fransisco to qualify as an olive oil sommelier.
